Zitat von flar2:Update!!
Experimental -- and therefore not in the app updater yet.
The installer now re-uses the ramdisk from the existing kernel for maximum compatibility with custom ROMs. So it is highly recommended only to install this over the kernel that came with your ROM. If something does not seem right, I will need installation logs. I think the scripts all work, but I only test with stock, and can't possibly install every ROM to test.
I'm also making another attempt with the elementalx gov. Those who had problems before are encouraged to try it and report back whether it's working or not.
Cpuboost is removed in this build, so if you don't want to use elementalx gov, I recommend ondemand or conservative rather than interactive.
A minor thing: I found no benefit in going down to one core with screen off, so by default there are two cores available during screen off.
-update installer to use existing ramdisk
-changes to elementalx governor
-leave two cores online during screen off
-various tweaks and optimizations
Zitat von flar2:
Here's the next version, 1.03, for testing:
I had one of my cores go offline once, and a few users have also noted this. I'm guessing the thermal daemon was responsible. So, the hotplug driver is enabled again, but all it does is make sure all cores are online (ie: it brings cores back online if for some reason they were taken offline).
I made more changes to the elementalx governor, it's less aggressive but I hope it's still smooth in all situations. I will be doing more tuning for sure.
This should boot on all ROMs, but I can't possibly test them all.
Note: I didn't push it to the app yet, need to test first.
Minor update to fix installer (so deadline is default i/o sched) and add MultiROM support. I did not test the MultiROM support, so I would appreciate feedback to let me know it's working.
Download (Android 5.1)
-add multirom support (@Tasssadar)
-fix installer (default i/o sched is deadline)
-various fixes and optimizations
There is also an update to the ElementalX app coming up.
I added some new features to the color control screen. You can now load and save profiles. I added a few different test images. If you click on the image, it changes. There are some existing profiles. Thanks to @franciscofranco for providing them.
There is new functionality in the Dashboard as well. I added an option to count deep sleep in the CPU time-in-state stats. You can access this screen by tapping the CPU info card on the Dashboard. You can also go directly to some of the other settings by tapping on the cards (Wake, GPU and I/O cards have this). I will be adding a few more new features to this when I can find the time.
@bbedward suggested adding a tunable for his kernel (BFS rr_interval), so it's there too. But I didn't test it because ElementalX doesn't have BFS
